Summary

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
    • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Position Summary (This position will consist of 36 hours per week.)

The Clinical Care Coordinator provides day to day operational guidance and direction to the nursing staff, works collaboratively with providers, hospital staff, pre-hospital providers and community agencies fostering the delivery of Safe Patient and Family Centered Care. The Clinical Care Coordinator facilitates the provision of resources required to meet the needs of the patient population served by department staff. This position will also collaborate across the department or service line to support staffing needs, education, resources and standardization of policy and protocols. This position will be responsible for the daily operations of the department or unit as well as, staff scheduling, team development, assisting in departmental performance and quality initiatives. This position will collaborate in the development/revision, compliance and implementation of policy. The Clinical Care Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating new employee orientation schedules and ensuring that annual education competencies are met by staff. This position will also provide patient care as needed.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred (or in process).
  • License/Certifications: Current and valid License in the state of Maine as a Registered Nurse, BSN preferred. Current BLS Certification. Current NRP or within 3 months of hire.
  • Experience: Minimum three years' of experience relative to the department or unit preferred and 2 years of Charge Nurse and/or leadership experience preferred.
  • Articulates elements of professional practice and demonstrates:
    • Knowledge of Evidence Based Practice and Patient and Family Centered Care
    • Understanding of teamwork and collaboration
    • Effective verbal/written communication skills
    • Knowledge of process improvement and sound safety strategies
    • Competence with computer application
    • Demonstrates competence in fetal monitor interpretation
      Promotes and protects breastfeeding
