What You'll Do:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic College Intern to join our communications team. This is an exciting opportunity for a student with a passion for electronic design to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment. As an Electronic Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our communications team assisting in the creation of engaging electronic assets for various digital platforms.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the creation of electronic assets, including graphics, illustrations, animations, and multimedia content, using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.).

Collaborate with designers and public information officers to develop visual concepts and design solutions that effectively communicate brand messages and engage target audiences.

Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing creative ideas and concepts for visual storytelling and content creation.

Assist with other design-related tasks and projects as needed.

Hybrid Work Details

Subject to DCYs teleworking policy and an approved teleworking agreement, this position is eligible to work from a remote location on a hybrid basis. The selected applicant may be required to complete initial trainings prior to being eligible to telework. All requests to telework are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by DCY's Deputy Director of Human Resources and management, subject to the conditions outlined in the agency policy and teleworking agreement.

Qualifications
The following are the minimum qualifications for this position. For further consideration, applicants must clearly identify how qualifications are met within the education and/or experience sections of the applications.

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Arts, or a related field.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.

Strong design skills and a keen eye for aesthetics, with a portfolio showcasing creative projects and design work.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy in design execution.

Enthusiasm for learning and a passion for graphic design and multimedia content creation.
