We are seeking an exceptional storyteller to build integrated marketing campaigns about Amazon Web Services' cutting-edge technology, and the sports organizations, teams, and media companies who use that technology to transform how sports are played, viewed, experienced, and understood. This role combines the strategic thinking of a content strategist with the editorial oversight of an editor-in-chief, focusing on crafting compelling narratives around AWS technology in the sports industry.

In this role, you will be a primary architect for global integrated marketing campaigns that tell the story of how some of the world's best sports organizations are using AWS innovative technologies to change the game-both internally and externally. You will work with engineers, data scientists, sports leagues, teams, and athletes to create multi-channel campaigns working across multiple teams and stakeholders to deliver high impact, best-in-class communications that result in a steady cadence of coverage, conversations, engagement, and awareness of cloud computing's transformational impact.

Key job responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have strong background in technology storytelling. They will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive customer journey strategy for AWS sports webpages, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for visitors at every touchpoint. This role includes building and manage editorial calendars across sport partnerships and tech projects, aligning content with business objectives and audience needs.

In addition, this role will be tasked with coordination between multiple departments, including marketing, social and digital to bring true, 360-degree campaigns to life. Ideal candidates will have previous experience with third-party event activations, partnerships, and dynamic content creation. This role will lead complex initiatives from vision to launch with significant autonomy. Ideal candidates are able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with global brands and won't be hindered by ambiguity. The communicator best positioned for this role understands the technology trends impacting sports and business and will be able to create a cohesive vision of how AWS is helping to drive these trends in sports. You will need to be a leader in terms of high-quality judgment and decision-making, able to represent the business's best interests while being customer obsessed and largely working independently. This position has high visibility across the broader AWS Marketing org.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of time zones and languages

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs

- Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
