East Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition (ETCF) and TN Water Resources Research Center (TNWRRC) is looking for a dynamic Communications Coordinator to join our team. Position: Communications Coordinator
Location: Knoxville, TN
Department: Institute for a Secure & Sustainable Environment (ISSE)
About the Role:
As the Communications Coordinator, you'll be the voice of ETCF and TNWRRC, driving our outward-facing vision and increasing visibility for our projects. You'll manage digital media, craft compelling content, and coordinate public relations efforts.
Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
• Digital Media Management (70%)
○ Oversee all social media accounts for ETCF and TNWRRC.
○ Manage websites and YouTube channels.
○ Create, schedule, and track digital advertising campaigns.
○ Analyze and report on social media and website metrics.
• Public Relations & Outreach (30%)
○ Develop and distribute newsletters, press releases, and other communications.
○ Organize and edit video content.
○ Assist with public relations and outreach to media outlets.
○ Create marketing materials and manage merchandise creation.
What We're Looking For:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work effectively with a team and the public.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Fundraising experience.
• Familiarity with WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with electric vehicles and related technologies.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field with 1 year of experience, or
• Specialized training in digital media or social media management with 5 years of experience.
Other Requirements:
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel occasionally in-state and infrequently out-of-state.
