About the Role

As our Communications Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our division's narrative through various written mediums. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

Content creation

• Write and edit news stories, articles, and feature pieces that are accurate, engaging, and well-researched.

• Conduct interviews and research to gather information for news and feature articles.

• Ensure all content adheres to university editorial standards and guidelines.

Social media management

• Develop and implement a social media strategy to enhance division's online presence and engagement.

• Create, curate, and manage published social media content (LinkedIn).

• Monitor social media trends and audience engagement and adjust strategies accordingly.

• Respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.

Email Marketing

• Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to promote content, events, and other initiatives.

• Write compelling email copy and create engaging subject lines.

• Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

• Maintain and segment email lists to ensure targeted and effective communication.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, marketing, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a writer, journalist, or in a similar role.

• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and email marketing tools.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
