Communications Specialist

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center (UPMC Hillman) is seeking a Communications Specialist to join their research communications team. UPMC Hillman is the region's only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, supporting basic, translational, population, and clinical research.

The candidate will work with the Director of Communications to support research communications functions for UPMC Hillman Cancer Center including:

• manage updates to the UPMC Hillman Research website (hillmanresearch.upmc.edu)
• support the creation and maintenance of a cancer center SharePoint site for internal communications
• create and deploy cancer-focused content for UPMC Hillman's social media channels on a regular basis and maintain a social content calendar - experience with Sprout Social is a plus
• assist in creating and deploying written content about scientific research for the blog, newsletters, etc.
• assist in web, documentation, and staffing needs for major cancer center events
• create and edit videos with Hillman researchers
