About Us:

Fort Lauderdale United FC (FTL UTD) is a dynamic and rapidly growing soccer club competing in the USL Super League and will feature in the league's inaugural 2024 season. The club is set to play its home matches at a brand new soccer-specific stadium at Nova Southeastern University, in Davie, Florida, formerly home to the Miami Dolphins training facility.

Overview:

FTL UTD is seeking a passionate and community-focused Community Relations Coordinator to join our team. The Community Relations Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing community engagement programs that strengthen the connection between FTL UTD and our local community. This individual will play a crucial role in fostering positive relationships, promoting community initiatives, and enhancing the club's social impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement:
  • Develop and implement community engagement programs that align with FTL UTD's mission and values.
  • Organize and manage events, activities, and outreach initiatives to engage with fans and the local community.
  • Collaborate with local organizations, schools, and community groups to build strong partnerships.

Volunteer Management:
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for community events and programs.
  • Coordinate volunteer activities and ensure a positive experience for all participants.
  • Recognize and appreciate volunteer contributions.

Program Development:
  • Create and execute programs that promote youth development, education, health, and wellness.
  • Identify opportunities for new community initiatives and partnerships.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community programs, making adjustments as needed.

Public Relations and Communication:
  • Serve as a liaison between FTL UTD and the community, maintaining open and positive communication.
  • Promote community initiatives and events through various communication channels, including social media, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Represent FTL UTD at community events and functions.

Fundraising and Sponsorship:
  • Assist in identifying and securing funding and sponsorship opportunities for community programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors and donors.
  • Coordinate fundraising events and campaigns.


Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in community relations, public relations, or a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for community engagement and knowledge of the local area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
