The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) is recruiting for a full-time permanent Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) position in the Employer Account Management Division's (EAMD) Compensation Compliance & Review (CCR) Section.
Under the general direction of the CCR's Staff Services Manager I, the AGPA will model CalPERS core values and is responsible for the overall operational activities at all times. The program area ensures compensation and contributions reported by contracted employers comply with the Public Employees' Retirement Law and the California Code of Regulations and are accurately reported to the retirement system to comply with the pension law.

- Preparing complex correspondence, memorandums, and other legal documents.
- Research, analyze, educate, and collaborate with Business Partners.
- Guide and provide expertise to BPS throughout the compliance resolution process.
- Serve as a technical liaison and/ or subject matter expert between CCR section and other CalPERS divisions.
- Conduct complex and in-depth analyses to prepare Request for Legal Action (RLA) and serve as a CalPERS subject matter expert witness for court hearings.

Working Conditions
- This position is designated as office-centered and works primarily onsite at the Sacramento, CA -Headquarters at least three weekdays.
- Sitting, standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling requirements are consistent with office work. The incumbent consistently works full time. The in-office environment has artificial lighting and temperature control.
- Extensive use of the computer, including computer programs (including, but not limited to Microsoft Office applications: Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) and/or databases, the telephone, and computer camera to utilize meeting and/or training program applications (including, but not limited to, TEAMS, WebEx, Zoom, etc.) is essential.
