Why does the job exist?

This position assists the multiple bureaus of the Oil Conservation Division (OCD) within the Energy Minerals and Natural Resources Department. This position requires an in-office presence in the Santa Fe office.

Duties include:
Compliance enforcement with regards to the New Mexico Title 19, Chapter 15 Oil & Gas regulations.
Review of oil and gas reports.
Review and processing of permits and Administrative Orders.
Financial Assurance review, approval, and filing.
Review and acceptance of registrations and applications from new Operators.
Data query and maintenance

How does it get done?

This position will spend the majority of it's time in an office setting reviewing and analyzing data on the computer.

Who are the customers?

This job supports the oil and gas industry, other state and federal agencies and the general public.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:

* Experience using various soft wares and applications for data analysis.
* Auditing experience
* Regulatory experience

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in investigations, regulation, policy, statutory, and/or contract compliance. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment Requirements

Must maintain and possess a current New Mexico Driver's License.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. In-state and out-of-state travel may be required. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
