Overview

A Configuration Management Certification Analyst provides support to the shipyard, ships management, the Supervisor of Shipbuilding and NAVSEA by reporting accurate and official status of liabilities in support of Key Event Certifications. Applicants will be responsible for Configuration Management of Non-conformance and Design Change Liabilities; updating Key Event codes; as-built configuration and contract change documentation; and the maintenance and data integrity of the Electric Boats configuration management databases. This position involves the ability to interpret liabilities and provide guidance for technical support documents and directives. Applicants may act as liaison between the design agent and construction yard by expediting liabilities and participating in regular meetings to support key event certifications. Applicants must interact with other departments including Ships Management, Engineering, Planning, Design, Program Office and Supervisor of Shipbuilding.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree
  • Configuration Management or Ship Certification experience
Preferred:
  • Teamcenter experience
  • Knowledge or experience with new construction and/or delivered ships implementation of work and as-built documentation
  • Awareness of EBs 3G, and JCALS systems
  • Ability to review and understand various technical documents
  • Interpreting Engineering Report and Change Notices
  • Related knowledge gained through Military service.
