Insight Global is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator for our federal building management client in Washington, DC. This client manages the only federal building dedicated to both government and private use. This person will be responsible for managing and overseeing construction and renovation projects in commercial office and retail spaces. This includes reviewing construction/renovation plans and ensuring they follow building guidelines, overseeing teams of contractors performing the renovations, granting building access for the work to be carried out, and scheduling fire and safety inspections upon renovation completion. Qualified candidates MUST be eligible for a security clearance.
Essential Functions:
- Write construction and/or renovation estimates and scopes of work that will lead to meaningful and purposeful proposals for review and selection.
- Participate in meetings with the Operations & Real Estate team, clients to include attending bi-weekly Construction Project Management meetings to include updating constructions projects list.
- Establish relationship with clients, tenants, and building owner, to coordinate and expedite efforts on projects, and to influence other on acceptance of overall project objectives.
- Prepare written documents that define a course of action on construction and/or renovation projects to achieve mission objectives. Prepare funding request for approval, include SOW, bids and contractor recommendation.
- Work with Fire and Safety Branch to inspect construction and/or renovation projects for issuance of Certificates of Occupancy.
- Perform general administrative duties, maintain current project management job knowledge and obtain appropriate certifications.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of Construction Management or Project Manager experience
Experience developing and managing the construction of commercial office and retail spaces
Experience reading/reviewing construction plans/CAD drawings
Eligible for a security clearance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
PMP Certification
AutoCAD (or other CAD tool) experience
