Position Objective
The CIPM is responsible for developing, vetting, and implementing projects generated through ideation efforts and tracking those to completion for SQDCP or other business metric improvements. This includes executing Six-Sigma Black Belt level projects as well as generating cost savings efforts for the business. The CIPM will coach others and lead training classes in Lean Six-Sigma methodology, Project Management techniques and "boots on the ground" mentoring.

Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, vet, and execute improvement projects (large and small scale) generated through ideation efforts and track to completion.
- Provide continual support for the culture of Continuous Improvement supporting the following focus areas:
- Lean-Six Sigma Education including instructor-led training, Green Belt/Black Belt Coaching, tool-specific trainings & content creation.
- Drive Standard Work by being a role model when it comes to procedures and practices.
- 6S and visual management techniques to solve operations problems.
- Root Cause Analysis to drive sustained conclusions to problem solving.
- Managing Daily Improvement (MDI), KPI development and usage of control plans.
- Kaizen methodology for short burst improvement opportunity.
- Ideation, inclusion and campaigning for ultimate involvement from the entire organization.
- Cost Reduction and value promotion.
- Celebration of Excellence through driving energetic promotion of the program.
- Assist with the development and execution of Lean Six-Sigma and Project Management training.
- Lead value stream mapping initiatives and develop improvement plans by working with support teams for execution.
- Coach and support others in Lean Six-Sigma techniques and toolkits.
Required Education and Experience
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field OR a combination of education and relevant experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Continuous Improvement and/or Operational Excellence
- Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt (desired)
- PMP certification (desired)
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work with minimal oversight; have a high energy level and be a self-starter.
- Communication Skills: Ability to speak, listen and write well. Conduct trainings and create reports.
- Proficiency with Kaizen tools (value stream maps, fishbone diagrams, or kaizen newspapers).
- Familiarity with Business process management software.
- Must be organized with the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams).
