DIR is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual to join the Contracts and Procurement Unit located in Sacramento. The Contracts and Procurement Manager, under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), the Manager provides oversight and direction to subordinate staff, including coordination, management, and delegation of grants, contracts, and procurement to support the department's mission to improve working conditions for California wage earners and to advance opportunities for profitable employment in California. The SSM I provides oversight and direction to subordinate staff, some in Oakland and some in Sacramento, including coordination, management, and delegation of procurement requisitions, contracts, grants, and solicitations. The SSM I personally performs the more complex and sensitive grant, contract and procurement work.
