Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Oversee the lifecycle of drilling contracts, from initial drafting to execution and termination.
- Ensure all contracts meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Review and Negotiation: Review contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks and areas for negotiation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to negotiate favorable terms.
- Documentation: Prepare, edit, and maintain contract documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ensure all documents are accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Compliance: Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues as they arise.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with drilling contracts. Provide guidance and recommendations to management on contract related matters.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and support for contract-related activities.
- Reporting: Generate reports on contract status, performance, and compliance using Excel. Provide regular updates to management on key contract metrics.
- Proven experience in contract management, preferably within the drilling or oil and gas industry.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Contract Specialist
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
- Strong understanding of contract law and regulatory requirements related to drilling contracts.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field is preferred.
