Position Type/Work Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours a week. Typical schedule will be Monday-Friday; some weekend work may be required.

Job Questions:
The Coordinator, Communications will assist the department with a range of activities and initiatives that service the global WTA Communications team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative support to the WTA Communications team
Media communications and distribution
- Provide written support for drafting media communications materials
- Manage and update WTA's comprehensive media contact database with the flexibility to sort, manipulate and garner maximum media coverage
- Build lists with new contacts and organize existing lists
- Keep contacts and lists up to date
Media monitoring & media clip archive and distribution
- Assist with daily media monitoring across global media outlets and social media
- Monitor/report - Actively monitor social media conversations as it relate to the WTA (Tour, players, and tournaments) - regarding issues, positive and negative sentiment, conversations with traction, etc.
- Monitor general sentiment and any trending topics that could have an impact on the image/brand of the WTA
- Help create press reports (including daily clippings) that promote PR/
- Communications efforts to WTA leadership, internal and external stakeholders
- Produce Champion press clip highlight reports for every tournament
- Assist with clip archive and keep it up to date
- Optimize media clippings distribution methods
- Build clip reports and media value reports on demand
- Collect reports and other documents to be archived from the Communications team after each tournament, upload them on Teams and keep track of the missing items.
PR and Pitching
- Assist with the overall strategy and specific pitching process and targets
- Monitor player social feeds, identify their affinities and interests, continue to update the document tracking such information
Match notes / Statistics
- Assist with the creation of daily match notes and weekly preview notes
- Assist with data input and record keeping of statistical match, Tour and ranking information
Research
- Research other brands, sports leagues and team's best practices in areas such as Media Relations, player/coach media availability, rookie programs, rules pertaining to athlete's appearances, corporate communications, issue management
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- College degree required
- At least 3 years of experience in communications or related field preferred
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills/team-oriented
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and priorities
- Tennis knowledge desirable
- High level of professionalism
