Job Overview

The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for facilitating all aspects of CHS credentialing, including initial appointment, reappointment, credential audits, as well as clinical privileging for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and all other providers outlined in the policies, or related contracts. Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all credentialing/background tracking systems.

Detailed Tasks:

Responsibilities
• Interpretation and compliance with the appropriate accrediting and regulatory agencies, while developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the statues and laws relating to credentialing.
• Coordinating, and monitoring the review and analysis of non-employee appointments, fellows, students, volunteers and residents.
• Maintaining applications/credentialing files and accompanying documents, ensuring eligibility.
• Maintaining copies of current job specific required credentials (i.e. Professional license/registration, DEA, infection control certification, etc.)
• Retaining provider information in an interactive HR system.
• Working closely with non-employee vendors to ensure all necessary paperwork in submitted.
• Credentialing Coordinator will be subject matter expert in all areas of our business (i.e. Medicine, Mental Health Services, Nursing, Administration)

Minimum Qualifications
1. Five years of full-time experience in counseling, community work or community health activities in a government agency or community organization engaged in providing community services to the public, assisting members of the community in obtaining community services or maintaining liaison with schools, community organizations or other governmental agencies for the purpose of providing assistance and obtaining participation and support for implementation of community or public service programs; including one year in the supervision of persons performing duties as described above.
2. A satisfactory equivalent. Study at an accredited college in sociology, psychology or other behavioral sciences may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for experience described in (1) above. However, all persons must have at least one year of full-time supervisory experience as described in (1) above.
