Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team on a contract basis for the Open Enrollment season in the health insurance industry. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer support to individuals navigating their health insurance options. You will handle inquiries, assist with plan selection, and ensure a smooth enrollment process, all while delivering top-notch customer service in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers with understanding health insurance plans, eligibility, and enrollment procedures during the Open Enrollment period.
  • Provide clear, accurate information regarding plan options, coverage benefits, and enrollment deadlines.
  • Respond to incoming calls, emails, and online chat inquiries in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Help customers troubleshoot any technical issues related to the enrollment portal or application submission.
  • Address customer concerns, resolve complaints, and escalate complex issues to the appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with health insurance regulations and maintain confidentiality of customer information.
  • Keep records of customer interactions, transactions, and feedback for continuous improvement of service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in health insurance policies and procedures during the Open Enrollment season.

Qualifications:
  • Remote call center experience is required.
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in the health insurance or healthcare industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly and patiently to customers.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with health insurance terms and Open Enrollment processes is a plus.
  • Proficient in using customer service software, email, and chat systems.
  • High-speed internet and a quiet workspace are required for remote work.

Work Schedule:
  • Part-time contract hours are Monday through Friday, with shifts from either 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM or 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM EST.
  • Occasional evenings and weekends may be required during peak enrollment periods.
