Cyber Security Analyst

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Security Analyst to join one of our client's organization. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating security assessments, incident response, security projects, and ensuring compliance with SOC 2 standards. As a member of the security team, you will play a crucial role in protecting sensitive patient data and maintaining the integrity of our systems.

Responsibilities
Assist in periodic security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks within the organization's IT infrastructure and applications.
Coordinate and document appropriate remediation strategies to address identified security gaps.
Work the investigation and resolution of security incidents, including data breaches and malware infections.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices.
Manage security-related projects, including the deployment of new security technologies and the enhancement of existing security measures.
Assist in and document the organization's compliance with SOC 2 standards, including the development and maintenance of relevant policies, procedures, and documentation.
Provide and document the latest security trends, threats, and regulations in the healthcare industry.
Collaborate with the security leadership team to develop and refine the organization's security strategy.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Security Analyst or Security Specialist.
Strong understanding of security principles, frameworks, and best practices.
Proficiency in conducting security assessments, incident response, and project management.
Familiarity with SOC 2 compliance requirements and experience in implementing security controls to meet these standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
