Cyber Security Analyst

A Midstream client is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join their IT team in Downtown Houston as a Full-Time Employee. This role will require 5-8 years of experience, a bachelor's degree, and reporting on-site 5 days a week. This role will report directly to the CIO and will act as an independent contributor working closely with other groups within IT to ensure all towers of their IT environment are secure. As the company is separating from their parent company and standing up their own IT environment this individual will be responsible for analyzing the current environment and creating a framework and policies for their future state. They should have experience with Penetration testing, responding to Security Audits, Investigating Cybersecurity Incidents, and Security Analysis. After ensuring the necessary policies and procedures are in place, this individual will take on more of a technical role and will be responsible for implementing and managing security measures to protect their IT infrastructure and Enterprise IT from cyber threats and ensuring compliance with TSA PHMSA and pipeline regulations. The salary for this role will range from $115-$125k/year based on years of experience and skill level.

Required Skills & Experience

5-8+ Years of experience in a Cybersecurity Role (Analyst, Specialist, Consultant, etc.)

Hands On Experience evaluating and creating a Cybersecurity Framework, Writing Policies and Procedures and Evaluating Risks

Experience communicating and responding to Third Party Security Audits and providing necessary documentation

Experience utilizing SIEMs technology to analyze threat detection, compliance, and security incident management

Ability to conduct Pen Testing to identify vulnerabilities and provide areas of improvement

Experience with cyber security incident investigations and log reviews

Strong communication, coordination and organizational skills are required for this role

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Pipeline, Energy, or O&G Background with a strong understanding of TSA and PHMSA regulatory requirements and standards related to Cybersecurity

Relevant certifications such as CISA. CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable
