JOB TITLE: Data Analyst DEPARTMENT: EngineeringREPORTS TO: Director - EngineeringDATA ANALYST SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining, protecting, and reporting the company's data within financial and project relational databases.DATA ANALYST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Data reporting: Develop and maintain charts, graphs, tables, or other effective presentations of company data to aid business leaders and colleagues in optimal business operations .
  • Data integrity and security: Ensuring the integrity and security of the data .
  • Data quality issues: Monitoring and resolving data quality issues .
  • Database development and modification: Contributing to the development and modification of databases and ensuring they are designed to meet specifications and requirements .
  • Database optimization: Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement strategies to improve data storage, retrieval, and query performance.
  • Documentation and standards: Developing and maintaining documentation and standards.
  • Identifies opportunities to simplify, improve processes, or correct negative business situations and recommends actions based on analyzed data.
  • Maintains open and accurate communication with customers, supervisors, and peers.
  • Clocks in and out for activities throughout the day in Pierson Wireless' project management cloud solution.
  • Follows safety policies for safe work.
  • Provides support to other team members and staff as needed.
  • Operates company provided equipment and vehicles in a safe manner and follow all local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Submits receipts and expense records?.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

DATA ANALYST QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from a college or university, two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Data analysts should have strong analytical and mathematical skills and knowledge of data analysis tools, relational databases, and data modeling techniques. They should also have experience with software and systems such as SQL, and Microsoft SQL server.
  • Data analysts should have proven abilities to analyze and interpret data. They should also be able to cross-reference data across multiple sources and formats and create automation scripts in tools such as VBA, Python, or UNIX shell programs.
  • Data analysts should have advanced knowledge of office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office or Google Suite tools.
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
