Data Center Engineer

Title: Data Center Engineer
Location: Grapevine/Carrollton
Duration: Contract
Hourly Rate: $44-50

• Monitoring and managing physical datacenter access via Corporate Security
• Monitoring resource usage by reviewing system messages, visual inspection, report malfunctioning or non-working equipment or other conditions, and inform the findings
• Audit findings - FM Global {Facilities Audit), Protiviti/AT&T (PCI/PlI and Security compliance)
• Vendor Coordination - Act as liaisons between the datacenter facility and external vendors or service providers for maintenance.
• Problem Resolution - Investigate issues found, take appropriate actions and escalate if needed.
• Emergency Response - In the event of critical failures, emergencies, or unforeseen incidents, on-site technicians are available to respond
• Installation and Configuration - On-site technicians handle the installation, configuration, and integration processes of new hardware. Perform firmware and/or Patch installation
• Documentation and Reporting - On-site technicians maintain records of equipment, maintenance activities and incident reports.
• Receipt and shipment of devices, including unpacking, visual inspection, documentation of Serial Numbers, plugging, cabling and media loads and tape handling services, etc.
• Preparing Asset for disposal per instruction.
• Remove or relocate hardware as needed.
• Asset Deployment assistance
• Incident ticket creation - Assistance
