Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking a Data Scientist. This contract provides operations research, modeling and simulation services to our customer and are responsible for the development and application of quantitative analytical methods, including models and simulations, to support Agency operations. The major driver in the establishment of the organization was to facilitate the integration of formal quantitative techniques into NSA/CSS processes. Knowledge and skills from the areas of: information research; systems analysis; decision analysis; operations research applications; software evaluation; software development, all phases - requirements definition, design, implementation, test and evaluation, installation, training, and documentation; modeling and simulation (M&S); Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A); and the application of models to accomplish special studies and analysis project

BigBear.ai is seeking a Data Scientist. This contract provides operations research, modeling and simulation services to our customer and are responsible for the development and application of quantitative analytical methods, including models and simulations, to support Agency operations. What you will do
- Develop machine learning, data mining, statistical and graphbased algorithms to analyze and make sense of dataset
- Prototype or consider several algorithms and decide upon final model based on suitable performance metrics
- Build models or develop experiments to generate data when training or example datasets are unavailable
- Generate reports and visualizations that summarize datasets and provide data-driven insights to customers
- Partner with subject matter experts to translate manual data analysis into automated analytics
- Implement prototype algorithms within production frameworks for integration into analyst workflows
What you need to have
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering or computer science) and 17+ years of experience; or
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in STEM discipline and 15+ years’ experience in conducting modeling and simulation or decision analysis; or
- Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in Applied Science or related discipline and 10+ years’ experience in conducting modeling and simulation
- (in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 6 additional years of relevant experience)
- Clearance: TS/SCI w FSP (Full Scope Poly)
- 10 years of experience analyzing datasets and developing analytics.
- 10years of experience programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.
