Engineering Delivery Director (Onsite)

Job Location: Pleasanton, CA (US) (Onsite)

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Managing end-to-end delivery including the expansion and renewal of existing business, closely working with MDU, MCU, Practice & Solution team on the newer opportunities, review solutions & estimation of all deals, effort estimation & staffing and finalization of contractual terms related to delivery for the below accounts (list will have other accounts based on client acquisition). CSAT, Revenue, COD, Attrition, Employee Engagement score.


  • Proactively work with the people/demand planning based on the account visibility and working with OE & TAG team on pipeline building activities by supporting the panel from delivery.


  • Closely work with DX-DE internal team and Customers to bring harmony and work jointly to meet customer happiness on work quality and timeline of delivery.


  • Proactively involve in campus recruitment, lateral hires and supporting TAG and HR "Leader connect for new joiners" program to address the new joiners and provide Cognizant Overview.


  • They will be the single point of contact for MDU for any practice level issue/customer needs.


  • As part of People Management, having skip level meeting with the team, try to identify their concern and fulfill their aspirations within the boundary and guardrails of comp/growth.


  • Proactively working on crafting POCs across NEXT Gen platforms using Co-Pilot, backstage.io and stack-overflow (and others as applicable) to empower our developers to handle independently their application environments using developer portal.


  • They will cultivate an innovative culture within the team and identify new/incremental ideas by conducting Hackathon program to provide benefit for both Client and Cognizant using Bluebolt.


Preferred Capabilities/Skills/Years of Experience
  • Handling customers in tough situations and provide thought leadership solutions and set expectations appropriately.


  • Excellent knowledge in Change & Release Management Functions and ensures team is also closely supervising and submitting CRs on time to ensure no leakage or attrition of revenue.


  • Periodically connects with the customer (MBR or QBR) articulate and summarize business benefits with engaging presentations to customers.


  • Mentoring and motivating the team to upskill or cross skill and be relevant to client and our organization.


  • Should be able to work with overlap with India time


Qualifications:

Required Capabilities/Skills /Years of Experience
  • 20 years of overall IT experience managing delivery of large transformation programs & engagements. Preference - experience in Retail and Consumer Goods Domain.


  • 15+ Years of P&L experience with deeper understanding on the various nuances of financial reporting & RFR 1.0 & RFR 2.0.


  • They must be running multiple programs across accounts in parallel striking a balance between strategy and execution. Proactively work on "delivery driven proposals" and driving growth for the accounts.


  • They need experience in implementing digital transformation, Cloud migration & DevOps driven solutions and willingness to implement machine first development.


  • Experience managing large programs (150 FTE +) end to end delivery in waterfall and agile methodologies.


Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $95,000 - $197,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
