JOB TITLE: Principal Development Operations Engineer

LOCATION: 13560 Morris Road, Suite 4100, Alpharetta, GA 30004

DUTIES:

• Position is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions, as well as leading and mentoring other members of the DevOps team;
• Lead the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring best practices for scalability, resiliency, and security;
• Develop and maintain highly efficient playbooks and establish configuration management best practices;
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the DevOps team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration and deployment of applications;
• Optimize infrastructure performance, monitoring ongoing operations, and implementing proactive solutions for issues and bottlenecks;
• Ostablish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, designing and implementing automated testing and release processes;
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance the DevOps workflow and improve efficiency; and,
• Act as a subject matter expert for DevOps practices, staying up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
• Domestic (U.S.) travel required up to 10%; Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; and five (5) years of progressive related post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered, or in a Principal Development Operations Engineer - related occupation.
• Alternatively, employer will consider a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; and two (2) years of related post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered, or in a Principal Development Operations Engineer - related occupation.
• Position also requires demonstrable experience with the following: Demonstrable experience leading the design and implementation of complex and scalable infrastructures;
• Demonstrable expertise in Terraform, and understanding of their capabilities and best practices;
• Demonstrable knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and Azure core DevOps Skillset) and proficiency in designing and managing cloud resources;
• Demonstrable scripting and automation skills using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell;
• Demonstrable experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI;
• Demonstrable knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes; and,
• Demonstrable understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and infrastructure hardening practices.
• Domestic (U.S.) travel required up to 10%; Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.
