Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

As a DevOps Engineer with 8+ years of experience, you will play a vital role in enhancing our DevOps practices and contributing to our software delivery pipeline's efficiency, security, and scalability. Your responsibilities will include:

CI/CD Pipeline Management:

Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines, focusing on best practices for efficiency.

Configure and maintain build pipelines for software projects.

Kubernetes Deployment:

Contribute to Kubernetes initiatives, including deployments and updates.

Assist in optimizing Kubernetes clusters for performance and reliability.

Scripting and Automation:

Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts for automation and system management.

Implement scripting solutions with a focus on security and reliability.

Python Automation (Good to have)

Use Python for building automation tools and integrating with APIs.

Work on infrastructure orchestration tasks using Python.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Nice to have):

Collaborate with teams to define and version infrastructure using Terraform.

Assist in designing infrastructure templates for rapid application deployment.

Monitoring and Observability (Good to have):

Participate in the development of alerting systems and anomaly detection mechanisms.

Experience with any APM tools (ELK stack AppDynamics, Dynatrace etc)

Experience and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps roles with exposure to the following:
  • CI/CD pipeline management
  • Kubernetes deployments
  • Unix scripting for automation
  • Basic Python scripting skills (strong Python skills are a plus)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability concepts

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

• Certifications or additional experience in relevant areas (e.g., Kubernetes certification)
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and other container orchestration frameworks
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and service mesh technologies
• Experience with advanced CI/CD tools and practices
