The Digital Innovation, Infrastructure, Commerce and Entertainment ("DIICE") Controllership, as part of the Meta Finance Organization, is integrated with product and business teams supporting 43+ products including monetization of creators, influencers, and developers, licensing of music and video rights, and payment services for users and merchants. DIICE is seeking a skilled accounting manager to join our dynamic product controllers team. The individual must be a self-starter and work with limited direction while taking full ownership of their areas of responsibility. The individual will be expected to problem solve, manage projects, recommend solutions, and exercise good business judgment while performing their functions. He/she is expected to have a strong business acumen coupled with an accounting background and strong communication & partnership skills to effectively facilitate information flow between cross-functional business partners and the Finance organization.

DIICE Accounting Manager Responsibilities


  • Partner with product teams on the launch of new products, including the performance of timely accounting assessments, risk assessments, designing effective & efficient controls to mitigate risks, and ensuring finance requirements are delivered by product and engineering teams to support successful product launches.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal team members and cross-functional teams globally, including legal, product, engineering, tax, and risk teams.

  • Facilitate communication and information flow between cross-functional business partners and the Finance organization.

  • Review end-to-end system flows used for accounting and financial reporting for risk assessment, partnering with engineering and product teams to implement process and control improvements.

  • Drive the implementation of new accounting policies, and updates to existing policies.

  • Carry out month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and analytical reviews to ensure an accurate and timely, monthly, quarterly and year-end close.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fields

  • Knowledge of general accounting or auditing principles

  • Knowledge and experience with internal controls

  • A demonstrated business acumen, partnership experience, and communication skills

  • Experience with financial statements and financial analysis

  • Experience executing and delivering high quality, accurate work in a dynamic, fast paced and deadline driven environment.

  • Experience to work independently as a significant individual contributor with minimal guidance

  • Proven knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft tools


Preferred Qualifications


  • 10+ years of accounting experience

  • Combination of experience working in public accounting and a technology company

  • Experience in ASC 606, 920, and 928.
