Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) Analytics, Data and Marketing is dedicated to supporting merchants globally and transforming what it means to be an Amex merchant. Our team is responsible for partnering with markets globally to drive profitable growth, accelerate Merchant Acceptance and amplify the value of Amex to Merchants and Card Members at scale.
As part of the Analytics, Data and Marketing organization, the Amex Offers team develops strategic marketing partnerships that deliver unique differentiated value to our Merchants and Card Members. Amex Offers is in the midst of an exciting transformation with increased enterprise focus and momentum, fueling program growth. The Director of Amex Offers Operations will report directly into the VP/GM of Amex Offers and will be responsible for owning critical operation functions that drive overall effectiveness and oversight for the Amex Offers program, including finance and accounting, go-to-market sales enablement, value proposition, and enterprise marketing initiatives, and operational excellence oversight/governance.

Amex Offers is in the midst of an exciting transformation with increased enterprise focus and momentum, fueling program growth. The Director of Amex Offers Operations will report directly into the VP/GM of Amex Offers and will be responsible for owning critical operation functions that drive overall effectiveness and oversight for the Amex Offers program, including finance and accounting, go-to-market sales enablement, value proposition, and enterprise marketing initiatives, and operational excellence oversight/governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage operational functions for Amex Offers program, ensuring global oversight and effectiveness that supports the Offers vision, goals, and priorities both in the U.S. and internationally.
- Lead and own E2E Invoicing/Collections processes and Finance reconciliations in partnership with LFO and Controllership.
- Lead sales enablement/GTM and enterprise marketing initiatives including Amex Offers value proposition and internal marketing partnerships across the Blue Box.
- In partnership with OE and compliance, lead operational excellence activities including regulatory/audit queries, PRSA, AEMP policy submission/compliance, annual reviews - ensuring alignment and coordination across AOBI, the ADM leadership team and key partners.
- Take operational initiatives - as/when relevant - that support the Amex Offers roadmap and teams.
- Lead a team of high performing B35s and B30s
Minimum Qualifications
- Highly motivated self-starter who can provide strategic thought leadership and add clarity to ambiguous situations.
- Strong communicator who can effectively influence and prioritize as business needs evolve with a high degree of comfort amongst senior leaders.
- Deep project management skills, including the ability to clearly advise on progress, roadblocks, and successfully drive project progress.
- Ability to build strong relationships with all band levels and work effectively in a collaborative, multi-cultural, team environment.
- Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and handle changing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while leading with limited direct authority.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience with operational and policy processes
- Impeccable integrity with the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidential information.
- Proven ability to drive results in highly complex and ambiguous environment.
- Proven ability to lead a high performing team and drive meaningful career growth for team members through 'leader as coach'.
