Job Profile

Job Summary
Directs Infrastructure, programmed maintenance, including MEP, building envelope and equipment/systems, utilizing industry engineering best practices; Establishes programmed maintenance procedures and schedules according to industry standards and best practices, utilizing computerized maintenance management systems. Provide Pavilion specific Construction/Design Assistance on Capital Improvements (Architectural/Structural/MEP); Prepares Capital/Operating Budget for Pavilion: Directs Facilities Management maintenance & grounds keeping staff and assists with dispatch; monitor and advises regarding system wide Contracts (HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical/BAS/Fire Alarm/Elevator/Grounds Keeping); responsible for Contract Compliance; Financial Analysis and other Business Management Services. Coordinates with the Physical Environment committee and system Administrative director of engineering to provide required input on PE activities and risk management related to the assigned pavilion. Possesses the effectiveness to plan, organize, direct and execute assigned activities of the Facilities Engineering Department/Service function which are necessary in maintaining the physical structure, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and fire alarm systems, utilities and grounds of the hospital in an operative and safe working condition.
Possess knowledge of the Life Safety Code® and Regulatory Compliance, CMS, DNV, OSHA and any state and federal regulations. Coordinates engineering activities with the system and pavilion Life Safety and Infection Prevention staff to insure all required Life Safety and IP elements are met, including features of fire protection systems and equipment, ICRA and annual reviews of the Life Safety management plan and risk assessment.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or related field

Work Experience: Five (5) years in facilities management in a hospital environment

Management Experience: Five (5) years management experience in engineering, maintenance and/or construction in a healthcare institution

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing /Correspondence, Writing /Reports

Proficiencies: MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word , P.C., Project Management Information(PMIS)System
