The Director of Information Management and Analytics will report to the Chief Information
Officer and will lead and manage a team of data and information-focused resources, including
data architects, data engineers, data analysts and business intelligence analysts.

The team will in many ways be their own product and services manager(s) when working across
the organization to make data and information more accessible and actionable.
The team will pair with other IT competency areas when working on feature work that powers
our digital transformation and business applications creation, use and enrichment of data and
information for reporting, decision making and business management. The team collaborates
with other IT and business areas to develop cutting-edge data products, data models, reports,
analyses, machine learning and business intelligence applications. The Information competency
is heavily focused on evolving our digital platform competency and usage, data governance
strategy and adding standards around the data lifecycle. The team provides
insights and actionable results to a wide variety of stakeholders across the organization in
support of their usage and analyses of data, business conditions and decision making.
Projects will have direct value to the business with clear milestones, KPIs and delivery outcomes.
Key activities include:
Leading the creation of an Enterprise Reference Data Architecture.
along with the creation and implementation of processes to collect and maintain data
and information assets across the enterprise.
Drive standardization and simplification across the enterprise, in collaboration with data
governance activity, lowering cost, improving quality and value of data assets.
Lead the design and delivery of enterprise solutions for Data lake Warehouse, Master
Data/Reference Data, Data Integration Strategy and requirements for data processing and
use, including definitions, transformation, enrichment.
Lead the team in the design and implementation of technical artifacts; logical data
models, physical data models, data lake structure and architecture, core data flows, and
end user data access and use of data.
Drive Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) and monetizable Data-as-a-Product (DaaP) via DataLake
Analytical Platform (DLAP) across all of Wrench Group business areas in Sales, Marketing,
Operations, Finance, HR etc.

Compensation for this role ranges from $170,000 to 180,000.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Data Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics,
Analytics, Econometrics, or equivalent required; MBA/Masters degree preferred.

A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible relevant experience in data
management, including creating partnerships, implementing data governance, and
understanding the underlying technologies needed to enable data innovation across a
midsized or large organization required.

Experience in computer programming, query languages, and internet-based data
visualization platforms such as Power BI and Domo and Tableau preferred.

Demonstrated experience with developing data strategy, enterprise data architecture
policies, and procedures, as well as successfully executing programs that meet or
exceed expectations in a dynamic environment; experience creating tools and
capabilities to assist with data discovery & collaboration, ensure data quality, and to
load, clean, enrich, manage, and share data and metadata from a variety of sources
required.

Experience in understanding of cloud-based data lake architectures for data
management, master data, data warehouse and supporting Analytics, BI dashboards.
Experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks, PowerBI environment with be a Plus.
Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, HBase) and Extract Transform Load
(ETL) tools required.

Deep understanding of data and analytics as it relates to business operations.

Experience independently starting self-sustaining teams is a plus.

Effectively worked with senior leadership in setting strategic 6+ month direction.

Operated well in the unknown - experienced with rapid growth and constantly shifting
challenges and priorities. We're looking for someone who is able to adapt and shift
strategy quickly and is able to manage the team well in the process.

Works well in cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, operations).

Experience effectively managing through conflict resolution of senior technical resources,
helping people see the forest for the trees and advancing collaboration of teams toward
common goals and objectives
