As the Director of Commercial Growth, National Accounts at Georgia Pacific Corrugated Packaging, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our company's vision, driving revenue growth, and fostering talent development within our National Accounts team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of National Accounts, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute business strategies, expand sales opportunities, and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Location:

  • This position is open to home-based candidates; however, Atlanta, GA is the primary location for the role.
  • Travel: 50-60% on average to GP facilities, customers, and for team collaboration. Travel may increase for candidates who do not reside in Atlanta, as travel to the primary location will be required.
  • Relocation is offered to Atlanta, GA for this position.

What You Will Do

Business Growth:

  • Utilize our distinctive company culture and foster a sales innovation mindset to enhance our market position within the corrugated packaging industry.
  • Partner and support our Regional VP's, Area Management Teams, Business Analysts, and National Account Managers (NAM's) to develop and implement commercial strategies, secure business deals, and drive market share growth.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to pioneer initiatives aimed at expanding sales opportunities and outpacing competitors.
  • Champion CRM tool usage, which provides up to date and accurate sales pipeline data.


Business Strategy:

  • Continually refine the National Accounts vision to provide clarity on our role's support for the business plan and capabilities model.
  • Establish priorities and ensure NAM accountability for business plan and growth, reduced attrition, and pipeline management.
  • Achieve revenue and profitability targets outlined in the business plan while mitigating unplanned customer attrition.
  • Foster strategic relationships with customers and key stakeholders to attain and uphold preferred supplier status.


Talent Development:

  • Identify and nurture the talents and passions of individual team members by applying our company principles.
  • Actively listen, understand, and support each team member's goals and aspirations, facilitating their journey toward self-actualization and growth opportunities.
  • Cultivate a strong team culture to minimize turnover and foster cohesion.
  • Recruit top talent to enhance team strength and contribute to talent bench depth.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of national accounts or sales management experience in the packaging industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth, achieving business plan targets, and establishing strategic relationships.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with teams effectively towards achieving goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in the packaging industry.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Master's degree in business administration or advanced level degree.
  • Proven success in driving innovation and implementing new sales strategies.


For this role, we anticipate paying $190,000-215,000. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
