Director of Finance

LaSalle Network has partnered with a leader in Boutique Hotel Luxury. We are in search of a Director of Finance to oversee financial and accounting responsibilities at 3 hotels in the Austin area.

Director of Finance Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial and accounting management with a focus on controls and financial reporting
• Oversight of third-party accounting services, which assists with accounts payable and income audit
• Manage and control accounts payable, accounts receivable and treasury management functions
• Monitor property revenues and expenses for accuracy and ensure the recording is in accordance with established guidelines and industry best practices
• Communicate weekly cash flow which includes real-time cash balances, expense forecast and proposed payments to vendors
• Timely preparation of property financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets and bank reconciliations with supporting workpapers
• Responsible for generating end of period reports. Investigate and analyze variances to forecast, budget and prior year
• Ensure compliance on all regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements and the proper execution and payment of all operational taxes
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and ad-hoc financial analysis
• Assist in the creation of CAPEX and FF&E Budgets, including gathering support, monitoring the bid process and tracking actuals versus budget
• Analyze financial data and operations in order to assist and advise executive team in maintaining the property's financial objectives

Director of Finance Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• 5+ years Accounting/Finance experience
• Hospitality industry work experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with OPERA PMS system a plus
• Gracious, friendly and fun demeanor
• Ability to clearly communicate with guests, management and co-workers
