Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Oversee the daily clinical operations of the Memory Care Unit.
- Shift management expertise.
- Proficient in managing nursing operations.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that adhere to regulatory standards and best practices.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
- Resident Care:
- Ensure the individual needs of residents are met with personalized care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate resident care, adjusting as necessary to improve outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, families, and residents to ensure comprehensive care and communication.
- Quality Improvement:
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery and resident satisfaction.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Implement evidence-based practices and innovative approaches to memory care.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate care and services for residents.
- Promote teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of holistic care plans.
- Entrepreneurial Initiatives:
- Identify and implement new programs and services that enhance the quality of life for residents and align with the organization's mission.
- Pursue opportunities for growth and expansion within the Memory Care Unit.
- Develop and manage the budget for the Memory Care Unit, ensuring financial sustainability and efficiency.
- Community Engagement:
- Represent the Memory Care Unit at community events and networking opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, healthcare providers, and families.
- Promote the organization's mission and values within the community.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a memory care or similar setting.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of implementing innovative programs.
