We are currently seeking a Director of Program Management is responsible for leading and overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex manufacturing programs and projects. This role ensures that all programs are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Director of Program Management collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives, manage resources, and align program objectives with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Program Leadership:
    • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of manufacturing programs and projects, from initiation through to completion.
    • Define program objectives, scope, and deliverables in alignment with business goals and customer requirements.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive program plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
    • Supporting the business development team in the development of proposals.
    • Supporting the business strategy development to drive profitable growth
  2. Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Work closely with senior management to define strategic program priorities and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Develop and maintain program roadmaps and schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and deliverables.
    • Monitor program progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  3. Team Management and Collaboration:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of program managers and project managers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective program execution.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment, promoting teamwork and communication across functional areas.
    • Coordinate with engineering, production, supply chain, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and execution of program initiatives.
    • Management of account managers
  4. Budget and Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
    • Monitor financial performance and track expenditures, providing regular updates and forecasts to senior management.
    • Identify and address resource gaps and constraints to ensure program success.

5. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for program-related communications with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide regular program status updates, reports, and presentations to senior management and other key stakeholders.
    • Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with program objectives.

6. Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance program management efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Develop and maintain program management methodologies, tools, and templates to standardize and streamline program execution.

7. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
      • Ensure all programs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
      • Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of program delivery.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in program management within a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership or director-level role.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs and projects in a manufacturing setting.
    • Strong knowledge of program management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
    • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Proficiency in program management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
    • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives and external stakeholders.


Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is preferred.


Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to travel occasionally to different manufacturing sites or facilities as required.

Pay Range: $170,000-$185,000 per year, depending on experience.

This position will be a Director Level position at our Boulder Optics Manufacturing company.

This site offers capabilities that include substantial design and engineering resources, comprehensive optical fabrication and coating capabilities, advanced assembly technology and an extensive in-house metrology lab.
