Job Purpose:
The Director of Program Operations will provide leadership for the Physician Enterprise in implementing and operating programs and strategies that support creating more value to patients. This role is responsible for overall planning, coordination, and implementation of programs that reduce cost of care, improve quality, or achieve the goals of the triple aim. These programs will include (but are not limited to) new programs related to home-based care, remote patient monitoring, chronic care management, provider enablement platforms, eConsult services, etc. This role will must have a strong relationship with practice operations, clinicians, and information services. This role has accountability of successful planning, implementation, adoption of value-based care programs across the physician network. The position will perform duties related to design, project management, budgeting, financial management, strategic planning, and communications. Remote monitoring coordinators will report directly to this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serves as an operational leader for new programs that support value-based care across the physician organization
2. Works with key stakeholders in the Piedmont Clinic to develop, implement, sustain, and optimize value-based care strategies that impact clinical operations. Leads the implementation and ongoing sustainability of Clinical Governance Council initiatives that are integrated into clinical operations of the primary care network
3. Accountable for remote patient monitoring program and ensures success in scale, financials, and clinical outcomes. Responsible for developing budget
4. Manages Remote Monitoring team (and any future FTEs related to Value-Based Care Operations) to implement key initiatives and ongoing program relationship management
5. Responsible for development programs/strategies for unnecessary ED usage and hospitalization
6. Leads the selection, development, implementation, and ongoing management of future value-based care strategies across the physician organization
7. Working in conjunction with other operational and clinical leaders, leads the design and development of workflows and actions to implement
8. Works with management (Physician Enterprise, Piedmont Clinic, IS) to coordinate activities among various designated operating divisions to facilitate the implementation of value-based care strategies, while focusing on sustainability, performance, and change management
9. Directly managers any partners/vendors that are necessary to support above programs
10. Partners and develops strong working relationships with organizational leadership

Skilled use of Microsoft Office applications
Familiarity with Epic
Ability to drive between Piedmont Healthcare practices

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree is required.

Seven (7) years of professional healthcare experience, ideally in healthcare strategy and/or clinical operations is required.
