The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth North Pinellas
The role you'll contribute:
The Director of Quality Management & Patient Safety (Director) directs the hospital's ongoing quality program that objectively and systematically monitors, evaluates, and improves the quality of patient care and outcomes while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accrediting entities. The hospital follows an improvement model of Plan/ Do / Study/ Act (PDSA). The Director administers the operational, fiscal, human resource, and staffing components of the department. Management functions include responsibility for the development, organization, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the quality and patient safety policies, procedures, projects and programs established to support the organization's Mission, Vision and Strategic Plan.
The value you'll bring to the team:
1. Provides oversight and direction for the implementation of the organization's Quality and Patient Safety Plan and initiatives.
2. Collaboratively designs and develops initiatives with the leaders of the organization to achieve excellence in meeting all quality measures required by CMS and TJC and meeting corporate benchmarks for key quality metrics prioritized by AdventHealth.
3. Annually reviews the IQR, OQR, eCQM and Web Based Measures and makes recommendations to the Executive and Medical Staff Leadership for continuing, discontinuing and/or adding measures or indicators to track and monitor quality throughout the organization.
4. Oversees the contractual relationship with the outside chart abstraction service.
5. Oversees the quality performance improvement processes and facilitates the reporting of Performance Improvement activities up and down the organization including running the Quality & Patient Safety Council
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :
• Master's degree in Nursing or related Health Care Field required
• 8-10 years of relevant experience with 3 years of experience in leadership capacity
• Current Florida licensure as a Registered Nurse
• CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) Individuals without CPHQ will be granted a 12 month grace period to obtain CPHQ, if all other qualifications are met.
