Responsibilities
Position Summary:
As our Director of Security at California Hospital Medical Center, you will lead security operations, to protect the safety and security of patients, visitors, staff and physicians. You will need to draw upon your expertise and knowledge-base, to evaluate the effectiveness of our programs, and develop and implement the Security Management Plan and Emergency Management Plan, ensuring staff is always at the ready. You will also coordinates ongoing security and vulnerability for changes that could affect the likelihood of an emergency, as well as those that could affect response efforts and details of plan implementation. You will prepare, disseminate, and follow up on security assessments. You will be responsible for m onitoring existing security systems and technologies for possible security leaks or fraud, and help with the development and monitoring of physical and electronic measures. In addition, you will design and conduct security awareness and emergency training programs, ensuring staff are prepared for whatever comes.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Safety Administration, or Emergency Management required, or a combination of education and/or job related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in managing security and safety programs in a healthcare facility required.
Licensure:
- Security related training and professional affiliation required.
- Current Driver's License issued by the State along with satisfactory DMV report on file or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire required.
Training:
- Knowledge of Life Safety, The Joint Commission (TJC), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (MS) and OSHA regulations and standards required.
- Completion of National Incident Management System (NIMS) compliant ICS 100HC, 200HC, 700 & 800 courses or state equivalent required.
- Workplace violence training required within 6 months of employment.
- American Hospital Association compliant CPR BLS required within 90 days of employment.
