The Maybelline Brand Engagement Team is looking for a creative, strategic and consumer centric social media marketer to manage social channel and content strategy, as well as serve as the brand lead for entertainment storytelling and partnerships. This person should understand how to utilize social insights to inform strategy and content development, have an eye for creative and be knowledgeable in how to develop authentic relationships with influencers to produce quality content for the brand. This role will lead the process of bringing digital content to life from concept through talent sourcing and production to increase brand engagement across channels. The Director will also help shape and drive content deliverables with influencers to drive awareness and conversion.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Under direction of AVP, Brand Engagement, lead content and channel strategy for all owned social media channels (including: Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, and emerging platforms)
  • Manage, mentor and advocate for the Assistant Manager, overseeing social moderation, engagement and advocacy tactics
  • Support always-on paid social programming for TikTok and Pinterest in collaboration with Director, Influencer and BCL(media agency)
  • Manage in-house video and still shoots with production agency partners, photographers, as well as oversee post-production and editing of all assets


  • Collaborate with the global team to enhance global assets with a US consumer centric lens based on qualitative and quantitative insights
  • Identify and source talent for US content shoots and manage influencer social media deliverables in partnership with Creator Deck to drive brand mentions
  • Support college campus ambassador program with fresh insights to drive ROI through earned mentions to grow brand love among Gen Z


Content Creation Responsibilities
  • Manage in-house content shoots for social media and digital (.com) assets
  • Manage social content calendars in partnership with DMI (global) and US Brand Engagement teams
  • Project manage media integrations with network partners (ie 2024 Love Island with NBC) to deliver on briefs, product send outs to production, etc. to support Category Heads and Brand Engagement Lead.
  • Produce reactive content for social trends and SEO needs, working in an agile fashion based on insights through tools (ie Netbase, Traackr, RivalIQ, Sprinklr)
  • Manage post-production and editing of assets for social channels
  • Concept and source talent for Stories, Reels, Lives and other video platforms
  • Oversee YouTube video content production and analytics to drive optimizations


Team and Meeting Management:
  • Ensure team development and positive morale
  • Foster collaboration within the team and with our core partners (DMI, commercial, finance, etc)
  • Recruit and retain employees
  • Effectively manage, train and 2 direct reports
  • Recommend organizational structure changes and enhancements


Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8-10 years professional experience
  • In-depth knowledge/experience with all major social media platforms
  • Experience in social photography, graphic design and image editing from a social-first perspective
  • Experience in managing influencer content feedback and deliverables
  • Beauty experience is a plus
  • Strong project management skills
  • Social video production experience a plus
  • Strong writing skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to take direction and understand Maybelline unique mission and social identity, but layer your own creativity and fresh content ideas
  • High level of organization, attention to detail and positive attitude

  • Salary Range: $140,100- $203,200. The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level
