The Department of Medicine's newly formed Division of Hospital Medicine is pleased to announce our search for a Unit Administrator to oversee clinical and administrative business operations. This position will report to the Division Administrator and will be responsible for managing and coordinating various business-related functions.

The successful candidate will:
  • Oversee management of the Section's Physician Scheduling system.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports specific to clinical and financial performance, including quality and patient safety.
  • Produce monthly productivity and collections benchmarking reports.
  • Review billing and reimbursement trends to ensure maximization of billable activities
  • Monitor progress toward achievement of clinical benchmarks as outlined in all Memorandums of Understanding.
  • Assist in the implementation of defined strategic endeavors, including project management.
  • Ensure fiscal, administrative, and human resources practices are aligned with federal and state laws, regulations, and university policies.
  • Participate in the development of the annual budget.
  • Produce monthly budget variance reports, reconciliations, and year-end financials for the Section of Hospital Medicine.
  • Utilize budget reports to understand financial trends and facilitate forecasting.
The anticipated hiring range is $75,000 - $100,000 commensurate with education and experience. Opportunity to work remotely up to two days a week possible.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, or Public Administration.

Experience: Four years of progressively responsible project management, clinical operations, or finance experience in an academic medical center and/or physician group practice is required. Candidates with experience in all phases of the analytic process, including data collection, preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment, are preferred.

Licensure: None

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

All phases of the analytic process, including data collection, preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment. Proficient use of Workday financial systems, Anaplan, Tableau, Excel, and Epic.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
