Job Summary:

DPR's Support Services division works with other agency divisions to provide the necessary resources and support needed to carry our DPR's programs, services, and events.

Duties And Responsibilities:

Warehouse Assistant:

• Load and unload trucks
• Move boxes and cargo up to 75 lbs.
• Assist with keeping warehouse well organized
• Take inventory of materials

Warehouse Driver:

• The incumbent operates assigned vehicle to provide a variety of transportation services.
• Transport program participants, staff and cargo to various locations throughout the Washington D.C.; Metropolitan area and is responsible for assuring the safety and comfort of passengers.
• Maintain care and upkeep of all equipment and supplies

Minimum Qualifications/Education/ Experience:

Warehouse Assistant:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
• A valid Driver's License is preferred
• Ability to take inventory
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced work environment
• Able to work in the heat/outdoors.

Warehouse Driver:

• A valid CDL Class B License with Passenger Endorsement is preferred
• Ability to provide high quality customer service to program participants and staff
• Able to work in the heat/outdoors.
• Some lifting and loading of cargo.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced work environment

Area of Consideration: This position is part of the Pathway to Government Employment Partnership Program. District residents who received a high school diploma from the District of Columbia Public Schools or a District public charter school or received a GED or its equivalent from the District of Columbia will receive priority consideration for this entry-level position. Applicants must provide a high school transcript, GED certificate, high school diploma, or other applicable documentation along with verification of District residency before the District government may extend a final offer of employment.

Tour of Duty: Varies

Salary Range:

Warehouse Assistant: $ 18.00/hr.

Warehouse Driver: $ 24.00/hr.

Position Designation: This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and periodic Criminal Background Checks and Traffic Records Checks (as applicable). This position is also subject to mandatory pre-employment and random Drug and Alcohol Testing. In this position, you may be disqualified from employment based on the presence of marijuana in test results, even if you possess a medical card authorizing the use of medical marijuana.
