The position is primarily at the Brightpoint Chester campus but must be willing to work at either campus if needed. Requires working until 7 p.m. occasionally and multiple nights until 7 p.m. during late registration periods. The number of hours per week may vary (between 20 and 29) with the higher hours corresponding to our peak enrollment periods of July-August and January.

This part-time position will be primarily housed in our Admissions and Records department but may also support the general operations of our Help Hub. Duties include: monitoring the Admissions and Records email account and responding to emails from students, staff and the public; monitoring the Google Voice account and responding to texts; answering the phone and assisting students in person with admissions and records procedures; processing student enrollment; sorting incoming mail; posting student documents into the student information system and scanning them into document imaging system. The position is primarily at the Brightpoint Chester campus but must be willing to work at either campus if needed. Requires working until 7 p.m. occasionally and multiple nights until 7 p.m. during late registration periods. The number of hours per week may vary (between 20 and 29) with the higher hours corresponding to our peak enrollment periods of July-August and January.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
Previous customer service experience required. Experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Strong keyboard skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and the public required. Ability to maintain a positive, productive and cooperative attitude and serve as a team player. Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check will be required.
Additional Considerations
Associate degree or higher preferred. Experience in higher education, working in admissions & records preferred. Knowledge of Brightpoint, VCCS , and FERPA policies preferred.
Operation of a State Vehicle No Supervises Employees No Required Travel
Potential travel between campuses as required.
