SUMMARY
  • Perform and/or review single line diagrams, sizing of electrical components and equipment, conduct short circuit analysis where required and prepare technical specifications.
  • Provide direct project management duties by consistently reviewing project plans and timelines to ensure projects are on time and on budget.
  • Perform design, layout, and checking of electrical systems drawings and ensure the technical correctness of the drawings by using the applicable job, federal, state and local standards and codes.
  • Develop specifications, assign area classifications, and review shop drawing submissions to ensure that they comply with necessary codes and standards, and any other specific guidelines set forth for the project.
  • Perform site surveys, energy audits, attend project meetings and provide field construction support, as required.
  • Conduct peer review, technical oversight, and quality control of design team's work products. Provide management, mentoring and oversight for project electrical teams.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline
  • 10+ years of professional experience with proven engineering and design of building electrical systems.
  • Must be knowledgeable of local, state, and national code requirements
  • Must have experience/working knowledge of lighting and electrical load analysis software.
  • Knowledgeable of the USGBC LEED Rating system and standards is a plus.
  • Must have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate complex ideas and have strong technical writing skills and technical documentation skills with the ability to prepare presentations and reports.
