Electrician

Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking an onsite Electrician for one of our largest clients in Columbus, OH. Our client is looking for the Electrician to be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. Utilizing advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of the buildings. Working with the team they will need to monitor the system operations and performance. Responsibilities include hands on trouble shooting circuits with meter and/or megger. Adding new single and three phase circuits. Replacing 75 kVA transformers. Oversight of maintenance and operational testing of generators and ATS units. Switching power through medium voltage circuit breakers. This client is looking for someone who is a critical thinker, someone who is self-motivated, can handle a fast-paced environment and can come in and hit the ground running.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Haves:
High School Diploma, GED or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of experience
5+ : of field experience working in a facility with switchgear (commercial a plus)
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
Understanding of building codes and regulations
Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes.
Ability to review work orders, assist with installations and modifications of building equipment systems.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
