Signature Aviation's Global Infrastructure Operations Team has a great opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join our team and make significant contributions to secure, build, operate, and maintain Enterprise-level, distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly reliable systems. The DevOps Engineer will work with a talented team to develop, deliver, and maintain infrastructure solutions, as well as custom applications. The right candidate for this position will work on a team solving high-priority challenges supporting various custom applications and enterprise systems.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes
  • Create, develop, and implement solutions to address infrastructure and security requirements
  • Identify the needs for building automation, designing, and implementing CICD solutions
  • Create, develop, and implement automation and system integration for various build platforms
  • Ensure that the service's uptime and response time SLAs/OLAs are met
  • Actively participate in bridge calls with team members and contractors/vendors to prevent or quickly address problems
  • Troubleshoot, identify and fix problems in the DevOps domain
  • Align with technological Systems/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and industry-standard service management principles (such as ITIL)

Job Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Relevant industry certifications such on Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS), AWS Certified Solution Architect, or Microsoft MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
  • Minimum of 5 or more years of IT experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience supporting cloud solutions


Additional knowledge and skills:
  • Familiarity with information security frameworks and standards
  • Knowledge of DevOps Automation (TerraFrom, ARM templates, GitHub, GitHub Actions)
  • Familiarity with API Security, Container Security, Azure Cloud Security
  • Understanding and guiding Azure pricing in relation to building App Service plans, functions apps, APIs, and all other associated OS, Networking, DB, Logging, and sizing components.
  • Experience in Azure DevOps Agile/Kanban practice
  • Familiarity with VB script, PowerShell, or other scripting
  • Ability to write, use, and update scripts to automate daily operations
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure App Services (Web Apps, Container Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus Namespace
  • Working knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • General knowledge of Azure networking, security, IaaS, and PaaS services
  • Guide Azure services, deployment models, and resource optimization to ensure solutions are cost-effective and scalable
  • Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and solution roadmaps
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during implementation and post-deployment phases
  • Stay up to date with Azure advancements, emerging technologies, and industry trends to inform architectural decisions
  • Experience in supporting large-scale middleware infrastructure with a full understanding of software SDLC
  • Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • Experience with Linux servers
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues outside of middleware spaces (OS, Network, Database)
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Jira for ticketing and change management
  • CISM, CISSP, or other Security Certifications
  • Auditing and Compliance Certifications such as CISA, PCI-ISA, and PCIP
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a complex environment with an emphasis on providing excellent customer service
