As a Capital Project Engineering Manager, you will become a valuable technical asset to the Plant by providing process and project engineering support and optimizing plant manufacturing performance. Your projects will lead to improvements in personnel safety, process safety, and the plant's production
capacity and capabilities. You'll also participate in new product introduction and product cost improvement for the Fresno Plant.

What You Will Do:
  • Work with cross-functional teams to complete full EPC on small to medium capital projects including engineering
    • Produce project scope document, Request For Quotes and bid comparison
    • Complete project cost estimating and Capital Authorization Requests to be presented company-wide to the Capital Review Board
    • Issue PO's, change orders as needed and process related invoices while ensuring budget is not exceeded
    • Ensure project scheduling is on track
    • Complete project close out in timely manner on all projects
  • Manage multiple projects with different priorities at various phases of the capital process
  • Develop project scopes with input from several disciplines: process engineering, operations, materials movement, safety, construction
  • Work closely with Construction Coordinator to ensure projects are delivered on time and schedule
  • Work with onsite Environmental to ensure permit compliance with any changes
  • Ensure projects conform to corporate safety, environmental, RAGAGEP and other applicable standards
  • Provide quick feedback to 3rd party engineering firms as needed
  • Participate in PHAs or HAZOPs as needed
  • Participate in corporate internal capital and safety audits
  • Complete/Implement MOC's by project
  • Update plant procedures as needed
  • Train operations on new systems
  • Hand off of varying documentation for project closure and record keeping
  • Interact with contractors and suppliers on a daily basis


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 years of experience managing capital projects
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to read, understand and provide feedback on technical documentation (ie, ISO's, P&ID, instrument specs, equipment drawings, etc.)
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Preferred experience with capital project execution
  • Familiar with SAP, AutoCAD, Microsoft packages
  • Familiar with PHA, NFPA, OSHA, PSM, various API and ASME standards
  • Experience in PSV calculations, control narrative write-ups
