Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Sr Manager, Systems Engineering, that is a technical leader and contributor to organizational goals. The applicant's duties will include leading and performing as part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems.

Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for leading a diverse team of technical engineers in support of several programs spread across multiple business areas.
  • Recommends tactics and strategies that will directly impact the achievement of overall business or functional results.
  • Facilitates effective interaction between Project Engineers, Program Management and Customers.
  • Ensures contract efforts are adequately supported concurrently with drop in projects.
  • Establish the highest level of Ethical Conduct within team.


Job Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

  • Must possess an active Top Secret (SCI) DoD Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Systems Engineering experience.
  • Broad leadership and managerial experience with progressive advancement in responsibilities.
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends and off-hours in support of testing activities.


Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Operational field experience in support of real-world Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) missions.
  • Keen understanding of mission system architecture and subsystem interaction.
  • Experience creating staffing plans to include merit and succession planning.
