The ideal candidate for the NH-3 Engineering Program Operations Lead should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, experience in engineering or engineering management, ideally within the aerospace or defense acquisition sectors. You are expected to have a proven track record with complex engineering projects, demonstrating not only exceptional organizational skills but also the ability to communicate intricate engineering concepts with clarity and confidence. A strong grasp of systems engineering principles is crucial, as it enables you to meticulously manage detailed technical scopes and seamlessly integrate strategic plans with day-to-day operations. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual, capable of navigating complex organizational structures to propel our engineering objectives forward. Your communication prowess should be a driving force in uniting various teams and aligning the program's aims with the broader organizational visions, making a lasting impact on our strategic outcomes.

Key Skills and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.

2. Knowledge of development testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.

3. Knowledge of range instrumentation and systems, integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices.

4. Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management, standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines.

5. Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.

6. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • This position is on-site and eligible for telework, 4-6 days per pay period.
  • A professional engineering degree at the bachelor's level from an ABET accredited institution in engineering or a closely related field is required.
  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis. Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall.
  • The employee must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
  • This position is part of the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The employee is expected to meet the functional
    area certification requirements within the timeframe range of 1 - 5 years from appointment date into the position.
  • Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, "Confidential Financial Disclosure
    Report." Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training.
  • PCS funding is available.
