ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

BRP is seeking an Engineering Technician who will report to a Project Manager and work under the supervision of an Engineer. As a member of the BRP development team, you will have the opportunity to work in the creative field of recreational vehicle development. In addition to being part of a dynamic and motivated team, you will have the opportunity to innovate and influence technical directions in the field of motorsports.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR MAIN DUTIES WILL BE:

• Support the development of new products by fabricating, debugging and testing prototype power-packs and boats.
  
• Provide technical support to OEM on powerpack installation and fabrication of prototype boats
  
• Perform production quality audit at OEM facility
  
• Support vehicle preparation and follow engineering test, reliability and performance evaluation.
  
• Assess vehicle performance and dynamic.
  
• Support implementation of new products into production.
  

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

Required:

• 2+ years of Boat Building Experience or Marine Technician Experience
  
• Physically able to operate recreational and marine products
  
• Experience in computer skills, including MS Office or Google Suite with the ability to interface with data acquisition software and hardware
  
• Ability to travel up to 5% out of the year
  

Preferred:

• 5 + years of Boat Building Experience
  
• Associates degree or certification in Marine Maintenance
  
• Demonstrate a basic ability to either MIG or TIG weld
  
• Mechanical and Electrical Diagnostics experience
  
• Experience with fiberglass repair
  
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and strong communication skills
