The California State Lottery (Lottery) is looking for a talented Project Management Institute (PMI) - Project Management Professional (PMP) certified Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) Manager. You would be responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing the work of the Lottery's EPMO and staff. More specifically, setting project management processes and standards; formulates future long-range vision and objectives; aligns, reviews implementation, and ensures conformance of the EPMO with organizational policies and objectives. Additionally, drives the EPMO strategic oversight, administration, and collaboration with the organization's executives, business, and information technology stakeholders to provide enterprise-wide guidance, governance, standardized processes, and project portfolio management frameworks, best practices, tools, and techniques.

This position is headquartered in Sacramento and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as assigned. Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Eligibility for telework requires the employee to reside in California per California Government Code Section 14200 which states: "telecommuting means the partial or total substitution of computers or telecommunication technologies, or both, for the commute to work by employees residing in California.

Working Conditions
  • Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM PST (After hours may be needed to ensure the delivery of project related duties for the California State Lottery)

    • Project Management Institute (PMI) - Active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
    • 4 years of experience in providing expert level project management related to enteprise project projects
    • 4 years of managing an enteprise project management office, which implement enterprise-based projects
    • Current experience in project management methodologies and best practices, which ensure the successful implementation of project initiatives.
    • 2 years of experience in change management methodology
    • Excellent people skills, building and maintaining collaborative high-performing project managers & project teams
    • Excellent meeting faciliation & presentation skils to executives and project sponsors
    • Organized and efficient; able to work in a fast-paced, challenging, creative, and delivery-focused environment
    • Ability to provide oversight of multiple concurrent critical projects, thrive under pressure, and while remaining professional at all times
