Environmental Services Supervisor

Ayen Healthcare of Piqua is looking for a Full Time Envoronmental Services Supervisor to join our great team.

Summary: The Primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, and supervise the overall operation of the Housekeeping & Laundry Services Department in aordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guideslines, and regulations governing the facility, and as may be directed by the Aministrator, to assure the faciity is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Essentail Duties & Responsibilities:

* Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English Language

*Mus be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept

* Must possess the ability o make independent decisions, follow instrutions, and to accep constructive criticism wen corcumstances warrent such actons

*Must have the ability to plan, organize, develo, implement, and interpret the program goals, objectivies, policies, procedures, etc., of the Housekeeping & Laundry Department

* Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., the apprarance of housekeeping areas, and must perorm regular inspections of residents rooms/ units or sanitation, odor, safety and proper perormance of assigned duties

* Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, famiy members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general pubic

*Must be knowledgeable of housekeeping practices, procedures, and guideline as well as the laws, reglations and guidelines governing housekeeping & laundry functions in the nursing care facility

* Must be able to follow written and oral instructions

*Must possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervvise other personnel

* Must possess the ability to display patience, tact, cheerul disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently unctioning

* Must posses the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing housekeeing practices

*Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace

*Must be able to complete all other tasks as assigned by the Administrator, or designee

Qualiications: Must have, as minimum, three (3) yeas of eperience in supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care faciity, or other relaed medical facility. Training in environmental control pracices and procedure is preferred, but not required.

Education and /or Experiences: Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
