Reporting directly to the President/CEO, the Executive Assistant (EA) provides executive support to the President/CEO.

Job Description

This position supports the work of the McGaw YMCA mission to cultivate the whole person, strengthen community, and provide equitable access to transformational experiences that uplift the mind, body and spirit. Reporting directly to the President/CEO, the Executive Assistant (EA) provides executive support to the President/CEO. Acting with little supervision, the EA provides high-level administrative support while anticipating the needs of the President/CEO and managing the day-to-day workflow which include scheduling, contact management, preparing materials for meetings and special projects and working with the Board of Directors and C-level leaders. The EA serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies which include employees, clients, Board members, donors and others on all matters pertaining to the office of the President/CEO. The EA must exercise a high level of independent judgment and discretion and must be able to meet deadlines and function both as an effective team player and independently.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of prior experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or similar role or equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.
  • Strong computer skills a must including competencies with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Outlook, Google Apps, web conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.) and similar products.
  • Associate or Bachelor degree a plus.
  • Must be responsive, quick-thinking, collaborative, demonstrate a willingness to learn, and possess an innate ability to anticipate and respond to issues.
